Comenius’ Orbis Sensualium Pictus was first published in 1658 and was republished in various translations with various versions of illustrations in subsequent years. Here is a comparison of three different 18th century versions depicting bookbinders. The first two (English, 1705 and Hungarian, 1708) are identical, but the 1777 edition shows an update.
